What is your purpose?
My purpose is to lead a balanced life. To me, a balanced life would entail spending enough time with my family and friends, succeeding at school, playing soccer, and participating in community service. Ever since I began high school, I feel as though I have focused so much on my school work that I not only missed out on important events with my family and friends, but that I spent most of my time very overwhelmed. I do believe school is important, but I regret having focused so much on it that I missed out on moments that I consider important and valuable.
What do you hope to accomplish in the next two years?
In the next two years I hope to have an idea of what I want to study. I hope to graduate from high school, feel prepared for college, and get accepted into the college of my dreams. I hope to watch my cupcake business grow and be able to manage that growth. I hope to get into SAAC soccer and watch our team win first place. I hope to improve as a dancer and get over my fear of performing. I hope to succeed in the innovation academy, and lead an independent project that makes a positive change in someone else's life. I hope to travel around the world and meet new people. Most importantly, however, I hope to lead a balanced last two years of high school!
What are some of your long-term and short-term goals?
Some of my short term and long term goals are to expand my business, get into SAAC and watch our team win first place, improve my Flamenco dancing, lead a successful independent project, excel in my IB courses, stay organized, spend time with my family and friends, be a positive asset to the innovation academy, manage my time, make new friends, do something meaningful with my free time, get into college, and above all, my greatest goal is to actually accomplish my goals.
What do you want to learn over the next two years in the academy?
In the next two years I want to learn about Peruvian and international politics. I want to be informed about important events in the world and have a decent understanding of the stock market and how it works. I want to learn about the great depression and other events that were major worldwide turning points. I want to learn more about business, the economy, and consumerism. I want to learn about media and the way that different cultures have been influenced by it. I want to learn about professional editing techniques, and understand the "behind the scenes" work of filming. I want to learn about the global issues that the world is currently facing, as well as learn about the most threatening global issues in Peru.
What do you want to KNOW HOW TO DO by the time you graduate?
By the time I graduate, I want to know how to write with little to no grammatical mistakes. I want to know how to give improvised oral presentations, and how to keep an audience entertained throughout a presentation. I want to know how to edit movies with a program other than i-movie and I want to know how to manage my time and prioritize my work.
And, here's a tough one, when you're old and retired, what do you want people to remember about you?
When I'm old and retired I want people to remember me as someone that was hardworking, passionate, and optimistic.
Mission Statement - To bring positive changes into her life and the life of others by being a hardworking, passionate, optimistic, and balanced individual.
