I've never believed in meditation. I never thought anyone was capable of thinking about nothing. Because even when you think about nothing aren't you still think about thinking? | Today we had the privilege to learn about meditation by the author of The Secret of the Seven Seeds, David Fishman. Like the main character in his book, Mr. Fishman was a stressed out, unhappy business man. |
Meditation both changed and saved his life.
It made him aware of the way he treated those in his workplace, and at home, it allowed him to control his anger and ego, and it made him realize that a large part | of who he was today was a result of a childhood experience that had traumatized him. |
Meditation gave him control of his life.
After a serious of answer and questions, Mr Fishman guided us through meditation. Although I didn't reach a state of complete blankness, for a moment I felt as though my body was disconnected from my mind. It took Mr. Fishman six months before he | began to feel satisfaction through meditation. Now, he's reached the point were he can exercise and meditate at the same time! Thank you for an amazing discussion yesterday Mr. Fishman! We look forward to seeing you on Thursday again! |
