Sometimes, the amount of time spent on finding a meaningful story can be longer than the time spent to write one.
Yes, it may take up to five weeks to find an interesting story, but it's once you find that story that is truly compelling that others will be interested in reading what you have to say.
I can relate to what Ira Glass said while writing my articles for The Break. Finding an article that gets me excited to write is not easy. But once I've found that article that really "wows" me, writing about it is ten times easier.
Ira Glass said "When you tell your story, be yourself", and he's completely right.
